Many people find out the hard way that the floor is not where a mirror belongs. After all, as the saying goes, Mirror mirror on the wall. Great care should always be taken when hanging a mirror. Often the weight and size are deceiving. Make sure the wall material will support the weight and size of the mirror you are hanging. Also, make sure that appropriate wire and mirror hooks are use. Do not use a standard picture hook. Mirror hooks often come with 2 or 3 nails per hook and are a solid piece, and the wire is much thicker than standard picture wire. A good rule of thumb, go thicker and more secure. Opt for two wall hooks when hanging a square or rectangle mirror.
